Heres the first post
This is long overdue =) I had been busy working on several projects, but I had not been updating any of the blogs that I have been accessing. That’s not to say I have not done anything interesting.
I am taking this special effects module in which we are required to produce an original and interesting effect in a short clip of under 1 minute. So whats the catch? It has to not been done before (the original part is pretty important, the professor does not want a rip-off from a movie, and that’s even if we can even do one of those) and has to be creative.
Creativity is not one of my strong points, so i spent the week racking my brains to think of something that would fit the bill.
Here are some possibilities:
- Guy muscle bulging and getting bigger and bigger as he “pumps” up his biceps (Maya effects, mostly)
- Frog-tongue girl takes a swipe at an irritating fly (Maya, again, but I think I have seen this before)
- Kid playing in pool discovers he can sculpt toys from water (meta blob)
- Photographer takes a 3D photograph of a plant, dropped it and finds out that it has grown out of the picture the next day.
On a different note, here’s an advertisement that stayed in my head for quite a while. Probably due to my getting fit goal.
